Lesson Options
I offer Suzuki violin and viola lessons as well as fiddle lessons for students of all ages and abilities. In order to establish the option that is the best fit for your needs and goals, I offer free in-person or phone consultations to all new students. This allows us to make sure we are on the same page before beginning lessons and before you pay anything.
Tuition is set at a monthly rate based on the length of your lesson. On average, you will receive four lessons per month.
30 Minute Lessons

45 Minute Lessons

60 Minute Lessons
$360/month

What can I expect?
You can expect that each lesson will include time spent on repertoire, technique, and music theory that is appropriate for the age and ability of the student. Students will be expected to practice daily, and you can expect a clear practice assignment from me each week. You can expect a clean, safe, and pleasant lesson environment and a teacher who is prepared for your lesson each week.
You can expect an average of four lessons per month. If you need to cancel a lesson, make up lessons will not be offered; however, some months you will receive a fifth lesson, which will serve as a make up lesson. If I need to cancel a lesson, a make up lesson will be offered.
Lessons will not be held during the Thanksgiving and December school holidays. During the summer months, lessons can be scheduled individually at a rate of 1/4 the monthly tuition per lesson.
What do I need to provide?
You will need to provide your own instrument. During our consultation, I can provide you with resources and recommendations to rent or purchase an instrument. Please do NOT purchase and instrument from Amazon, as they are often low quality and frequently break.
In addition to an instrument, classical violin and viola students will need to provide the recommended repertoire book(s) appropriate to their level, and will need a music stand for home practicing.
A recording device (such as a smartphone) and/or notebook for taking notes during lessons is recommended for all students.
